First time visitors: Click "Register Now" and follow the prompts.

Do I need an email address?

A valid email account is required for registration If you don't have one, visit one of the websites below to sign up for one then use it during your registration process:
Is the application available in other languages?
Yes, the application is available in several common languages and translated using Google Translate.

What if I click on the link before it is open or after it is closed?
You will be able to register and log in to RENTCafé but you will not be able to submit a waitlist application.

Does it matter if I am not the first to apply?
No. As long as you apply anytime during the 5-day period through RENTCafé, your position will not be determined by the day and time you apply. After it closes, the list will be randomly sorted to determine waitlist position.

If I register for RENTCafé and make an account, am I automatically added to the waitlists?

No. Once the waitlists are open on May 16, 2022 at 11am Pacific Time, you will need to login to your account and apply before May 20, 2022 at 4pm Pacific Time to complete the application. If you register during the waitlist opening, you will be able to complete your application after registration.

What if I don't have access to a computer?
You can use a tablet or smartphone. There are also several free computer labs in Kitsap County.

Do I have to live in Bremerton to apply?
No, but you will have to live in Kitsap or Mason County for at least 12 months once we have issued a voucher to you.

Can I apply more than once?
No. Heads of Household, Co-Heads, and spouses will only be allowed to apply once. Duplicate applications will be withdrawn.

What if I’m already on the Section 8 Waitlist?
Since we are opening both the BHA and Housing Kitsap Waitlists, if you are one, you can still apply for the other. For more information on your waitlist status, visit https://bremertonhousing.org/index.php/housing/waitlists/search-waitlist

Why are waitlists only open for a limited time?
Bremerton Housing Authority maintains waitlists to provide equal access to funding for our limited Section 8 vouchers and other programs. Our waitlists are only open for applications during short periods of time during the year. By applying to one of our open waitlists, you are not guaranteed housing but your name and information is saved in our system so we can contact you if housing assistance becomes available. If you are selected from the waitlist, you will be notified to submit further information to verify program eligibility.
